Colorado Horse Rescue (CHR)
In addition to rescuing horses, CHR also provides:
Equine Crisis Assistance Program. Small short-term grants are available for horse feed and care to horse owners experiencing temporary hardship financial, illness, injury, or natural disaster.
Surrender Program. Accepts surrendered horses from responsible horse owners who have suffered a catastrophic life event and find that they are unable to care for their horse(s). www.CHR.org info@chr.org

Colorado Horse Rescue Network
Maintains a statewide network of foster homes and transporters for neglected, abused or slaughter bound. In addition CHRN offers a time limited “Buy Out” a program for horse owners who need to surrender an unwanted or at risk horses for foster placement, rehabilitation, training and adoption.

Colorado Unwanted Horse Alliance (CUHA)
