Join us as Jessica Dabkowski and her girl Friday conduct an educational clinic, "Beyond Riding- Groundwork for Equine Enrichment and Connection." This educational program will be a demonstration and discussion on using liberty, positive reinforcement, and other groundwork to enrich the lives of non-riding horses and enhance the bond with their humans. Trainer, Jessica Dabkowski of Pony Peak Stangmanship in Laporte, Co, focuses on natural horsemanship techniques while training mustangs and all breeds of horses. April 23rd, at noon, at the historic Churches ranch in Arvada Colorado. Ticket prices are $10 members and $20 non-members, children under 12 are free. Concussion Education and Helmet Fitting Sponsored by Parker Health Foundation & Parker Adventist Hospital Did you know that riding a horse is 20x more dangerous than riding a motorcycle? Our program tackles myths, discusses statistics about equestrian injuries, and provides information on concussion and traumatic brain injuries so participants can make an informed decision about helmet use when riding a horse. Movie Night – “Spirit”

Come enjoy an evening at the ranch and watch "Spirit" with us and our herd! Gates open at 7:30 pm and the movie will begin at dusk, about 8:30 pm. Come early to set up, get a tour of the ranch, and meet our herd. We will have concessions for sale, including hot dogs, popcorn, candy, and shaved ice! Bring your own chairs or blankets and please leave pets at home. Attendance is free, but donations are appreciated!

30th Anniversary Celebration

Come celebrate our history and horses with our volunteers, neighbors, and friends! There will be a buffet dinner from Brad's BBQ (vegetarian options available) and live music. Wine and beer will be available for purchase. All attendees will also get an HPL t-shirt! Tickets are $50 for adults and $25 for children, which will go towards supporting our herd. Tickets may be purchased via Venmo, with "30th Anniversary" as the description, or with checks made payable to The Horse Protection League. RSVP is required. Please RSVP at this link and include the method of payment for your ticket(s) and any dietary restrictions. If you are unable to attend but would like to make a donation, your support is greatly appreciated! All proceeds will go directly to support our herd.
