The Horse Protection League could not operate without a very special group of volunteers who are the life and soul of our rescue. We welcome you to join this special community to help equines in need. Experience is not required but compassion and a willingness to learn and be part of a team is! Minors must be 9 years of age or older and directly supervised at all times while on the property by a parent or guardian that has also completed volunteer orientation. Please complete this Volunteer Application (which will include the Agreement for Release of Liability) for each member of your family wishing to volunteer. Once submitted, an invitation to the Orientation will be emailed to you.

For insurance purposes all volunteers must become members of HPL, after a one-month trial period. Individual memberships are $75/year; retirees (65+) are $50/year; students (with student ID) are $25/year; and family memberships are $100/year. If this membership fee presents a barrier to volunteering, please send a letter regarding your interest in volunteering and your financial need to: treasurer@thehpl.org, as some scholarships are available.
